6 Years Together

This Sunday my husband and I will celebrate our six year anniversary. Whenever I look back at old pictures of our time of engagement or even our wedding, I am so taken aback by how things haven’t changed, and how they have changed so much at the same time.

One of the sweetest gifts of marriage I have found (or any close relationship even!) is being able to first hand see God working and changing both of us to be more like Him. It’s amazing to think of the people we were, the people we are now, and marvel at the (sometimes difficult) road that God used to grow both of us. We are far from perfect, but I thank God for the growth in my own life I have seen thanks to the Lord and the encouragement of my husband.

This song was sung at our wedding- I loved the words then, and they have so much more meaning to me now. Six years in- and I know in the years to come that will only become more true as I marvel at our Lord’s loving leading.
